The importance of digital innovation has really come to the fore in the last 6 months.  The winner this year demonstrates the benefits that can flow to many parts of an organisation and the ripple effect that can be felt from a successful and growing digital innovation. Working closely with an IT partner and involving volunteers throughout the process was key.  Keeping it simple to use, focussed and measurable, this charity have seen increased donations, targeted social media activity and the collection of valuable, timely data.   This powerful combination assists better engagement with volunteers, donors and corporate partners. It has even instigated conversations with other charities in this space and government.  However, most importantly it has enabled them to respond to the needs and meet the demand for their services in a more efficient and timely way.
