 Charity Excellence Awards

The Charity Excellence Awards aim to highlight and reward excellence within the charity sector. The categories reflect the full spectrum of those who work within the sector in charities big and small, from trustees to fundraisers, members of the finance team to your corporate partners.


How to Enter

Nominating your charity for an award is a straightforward process. Here's how you can enter the Charity Excellence Awards: 

  1. Eligibility: The awards are open to any current member of Charities Institute Ireland. 
  2. Choose your Categories: You can enter as many categories as you like, submitting each entry separately via the online form. Click on the categories below to read the criteria. 
  3. Write your Main Entry: Your nomination will be judged on a supporting statement of no more than 1000 words. This should outline how the nominated organisation or person has demonstrated excellence, (where relevant) innovation, commitment and overall dedication to the sector. Please check individual categories for specific criteria. 
  4. Free to enter for members of the Charities Institute Ireland.  If you are not a member, please visit 
  5. Submit your Nomination Online: Complete the online entry form and then upload any other documents to the Awards email address – Please make sure you provide your contact details on the entry form so we can confirm receipt of your entry. Please note there is a size limit per email, for large files we recommend using WeTransfer
  6. Don't forget the Logo or Photo: A large, high-quality logo must be uploaded with each submission. If you're nominating an individual or team, please include a large, high-resolution photograph plus a logo. For a corporate partnership please send the corporate logo too. 

After submitting your entry, you will receive a confirmation email. Soon after the awards close for entries, the shortlist will be announced, and the winners will be selected by an independent panel of expert judges. The winners will be announced at the Charity Excellence Awards ceremony on 11 October 2023 at the Round Room at the Mansion House in Dublin.
