Central Remedial Clinic

The CRC mission statement is ‘Working Together to make a positive difference to the lives of people with disabilities, their families and carers’ – working together at every level of the organisation is apparent in CRC. The central focus and collaborative effort of the board has been their responsibility to steward CRC’s strategic vision and oversee the implementation of their ambitious Strategic Plan, of which the 3 main themes have centred around:

  1. Service delivery;
  2. Working Together; and
  3. Organisational Capacity.

This attention to stewardship has gone the extra mile, through board walkabouts and site visits, allowing numerous touchpoints and opportunities for dialogue between all stakeholders – staff, clients and indeed the Board. Despite challenges, under this stewardship and the leadership of Stephanie Manahan, CRC has become a forward-thinking organisation, supporting diversity and drawing on external skills. They have shown the highest level of excellence in governance and accountability in 2018 and are deserving recipients of this award.

Congratulations to the other 2020 finalists:
