We work with our members, Revenue and the Department of Finance on tax policy which is fair and equitable for all stakeholders.
Following a sectoral campaign led by Cii, The VAT Compensation Scheme came into being in January 2018. The scheme allows charities to claim a refund of a proportion of their eligible VAT costs, based on their level of non-public funding.
There is substantial demand for the scheme, and Cii, together with our sector partners, will campaign to have the scheme renewed as well as call for a significant raising of the current cap.
