Talking to Donors who are Bereaved
An essential skill for fundraisers is the ability to talk to donors who are bereaved. It is a situation fundraisers can find themselves in regularly or occasionally regardless of their charity.
For many of us, the interaction with families and friends of the deceased can seem scary!
This webinar has been developed exclusively for fundraisers by Charities Institute Ireland in partnership with The Irish Hospice Foundation.
It will show attendees how to communicate with people who are bereaved, but also give them the confidence to know that it is OK to talk about the deceased and about fundraising.
Skills you will learn include:
- Listening skills
- Keeping boundaries
- Telephone skills
- What to say/not say
- Helpful tips
- Looking after your own well-being
