As a trustee do you have sufficient oversight over the financial activities of your organisation? Are the appropriate structures in place to ensure proper financial governance?
This webinar will outline the practical steps the trustees/directors and senior management should take to strengthen the controls over their charity’s finances. It will clearly outline the information the board should review on a regular basis with helpful templates provided. It will give guidance on how to ensure there is segregation of duties, the lack of which can lead to misappropriation of funds. It will also cover the key controls that each charity should have in place, a checklist will be provided to the audience. How to build a budget to reflect the organisation’s strategic plan will be explored and again a template will be shared.
This webinar will give you the tools to assess your own charity’s financial controls and structures.
As part of Charities Trustees Week 2021 this event is free of charge.
