ActionAid is an international charity that works for the human rights of women and girls living in poverty.

We put the human rights of women at the heart of all we do, because the denial of women's rights is one of the biggest causes of poverty worldwide, and a grave injustice. Our aim is to seek transformative changes in the lives of women. We do that by supporting their leadership and agency, their organisations and networks in order to help improve their lives for the long-term.

ActionAid Ireland's strategy sets out our priorities: To address the systematic and structural causes of gender-based violence; promote women's leadership in humanitarian contexts; amplify feminist alternatives for economic & climate justice; diversify funding, inspire and engage our supporters. We are committed to being anti-racist in our storytelling and fundraising.

This is an exciting opportunity to join as Individual Giving Manager (maternity cover), and to be a key leader within ActionAid Ireland's Fundraising Team.

Your role will involve planning, delivering and evaluating an ambitious Individual Giving programme, across a portfolio of cash, regular giving, Child Sponsorship, and our Tax Effective Giving programme. You will maximise supporter retention and development opportunities to ensure long-term, sustainable income growth. Working with the Head of Fundraising, you will review current fundraising channels and develop a muti-channel approach, alongside experienced external agencies. With experience in developing effective supporter journeys, you will manage the stewardship of a growing base of donors.

We are seeking an passionate, dynamic, caring and creative Individual Giving Manager to join our team on a fixed-term maternity cover. You will be an experienced and highly skilled fundraiser with well-honed communication skills who is able to understand donor motivation, build long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders and with a drive for growing income. You will have strong people and project management experience, understand the complexities of working within a small team and the need for an “all hands on deck” approach to work, and have proven people management skills to help drive, motivate and empower your small team to do big things.

Whilst at ActionAid Ireland, you can expect to work with friendly, supportive and experienced colleagues, and have the opportunity to influence and ensure effective delivery of the fundraising activity and projects within the team's remit.

ActionAid is committed to supporting flexible working in Ireland. If you would like to discuss flexible working options, there will be space to do so during the interview process.
