WE ACT Campaign Update

It’s been a while since we’ve updated you on what’s happening with We Act, but if you’ve been following along on social media, or have subscribed to our newsletter, you’ll know that we’ve had a busy few months on the campaign.

We’ve been sharing more and more stories from our sector and demonstrating the phenomenal work being done by individuals and organisations around the country. We’ve been developing new content to promote the role of volunteers as part of the National Volunteering Strategy – which you will be seeing very soon. We led our first student workshop on the scope of career and volunteering opportunities in the sector. And we’ve been working behind the scenes to build a strong, resilient, and long-lasting campaign, in terms of research, funding, partnerships and availing of expertise from both within and outside our sector.

As always, the success of this campaign will be determined by the continued support and engagement of every individual and organisation that makes up our vast and vibrant sector. So, grab a cuppa and read through what we’ve been up to, what we’ve got coming up, and find out how you can be part of We Act – the national campaign to celebrate the value and impact of charities and community groups in Ireland.

This campaign is being executed by a steering group made up of six organisations, Volunteer Ireland, The Wheel, Charities Institute Ireland, Boardmatch, Dóchas, and Disability Federation of Ireland. It has been developed with intensive consultation with stakeholders at every level.
