Head of Fundraising and Communications – ActionAid Ireland

Full time

€60,000 – €70,000+ negotiable on experience

As part of the ActionAid International federation, we worked with almost 6 million people in 46 countries around the world in 2018.

This work, made possible because of the generous support by people in Ireland, helps ensure children, especially girls, realise their right to education and to a better future and it puts women at the centre and aims to ensure fair division of work, access to healthcare and to income.

ActionAid Ireland is at the half-way point in our five-year strategy which places fundraising at its heart. It commits us to diversifying our channels and increasing unrestricted income. Currently, Individual Giving accounts for 70+% of income with many long-term supporters. We are developing our digital offering and relationship fundraising streams including major donors and legacies.  Our Communications strategy is designed to support the delivery of our fundraising goals.

As Head of Fundraising and Communications you will work closely with the CEO and Board to lead the implementation of the organisation’s strategy and the subsequent development of operational plans.

With your team (4) you will have the opportunity to grow voluntary and unrestricted fundraising through a range of income streams.

ActionAid Ireland is a lead member of the federation, we need you to actively contribute to and engage with ActionAid fundraising leadership internationally, in particular developing regions.

If you are an experienced fundraiser with a track record devising and implementing fundraising strategies, particularly within individual giving it would be great to hear from you.

In return, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package, flexible working arrangements in a progressive international development organisation, committed to improving women’s rights.
