The National Maternity Hospital Foundation (Helping Holles Street) is looking for a dynamic experienced fundraising leader to lead the delivery of its new strategy as it seeks to prioritize new born and maternal healthcare and research.
Almost 10,000 babies are delivered at NMH each year, most healthy and well, but many are born too early, and some are fragile and sick. Greater advancements in neonatal and maternal health will come from greater volume of quality research in this area. This is only possible with significantly greater funds being raised for the NMH Foundation.
Following a strategy review and development process, the board of the Foundation now seek an Executive and Funding Director to build a small team, reposition the organisation, develop sustainable fundraising and philanthropy channels and programmes to generate funds for research to help babies arrive, survive and thrive and to advance maternal healthcare through research, and innovation.
The new executive director should be a self-starter with strong leadership skills, a proven track record in delivering funding ideally from a variety of sources and major partnerships, should be a brand-builder, good influencer and have excellent engagement experience. They should be comfortable dealing with boards and will coordinate all board activity, drive sustainable growth, and develop operations for a well-managed and ambitious organisation.
This is a new and exciting role at a pivotal time In the development of the strategy.
