The CRC delivers a range of services to children and adults with disabilities both nationally and locally through our centres in Dublin, Limerick and Waterford and our Outreach Services. HEAD OF ADULT SERVICES
Five-year fixed term contract - Grade VIII - Full-time 37 hours per week. Flexibility to work some evening & weekends is essential.
The CRC is looking for a dynamic, creative and passionate visionary to lead the Adult Services department as Head of Adult Services. The post holder will ensure the service focuses on inclusion in mainstream, active citizenship, self-advocacy, the development of valued social roles and delivering a person-centred service. The Head of Adult Services will have overall responsibility for the management and delivery of services provided to adults with disabilities in the CRC.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the CRC Adult Services as we further progress the implementation of New Directions, the Interim Standards and Person-Centred Planning. As a member of the Senior Management Team there will be significant input required at both strategic and operational level.
The successful candidate will have the following essential requirements:
A minimum of a primary degree in a relevant area (QQI Level 8).
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management role with clear responsibilities for directing and planning of departmental activities in conjunction with the management of large staff teams and resources.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting adults within a health/disabilities environment.
Significant experience of managing and leading teams within a changing environment.
An in-depth working knowledge of the implementation and application of New Directions Policy and the Interim Standards.The following is desirable;
Experience of working as a Designated Officer supporting adults with disabilities in a Safeguarding capacity.
A qualification in management, leadership or business is desirable.
