Direct Marketing Executive – Concern Worldwide

Reports to: Telemarketing Manager 

Liaises with: Telemarketing Team, Supporter Marketing, Donor Care, FST, Creative Agencies 

Job location: Dublin 

Pay Band: 4 (€37,760 – €44,423) 

Contract: Permanent       

Job Purpose: 
The Telemarketing Campaign Executive will be part of a team working to deliver Concern’s direct marketing strategy. This will involve managing innovative marketing campaigns to develop Concern’s fundraising potential with current supporters and to recruit new supporters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project management of direct marketing campaigns including campaign planning, management and reporting. This will involve planning and implementing direct marketing campaigns from initial briefing, audience selection, creative execution, media buying to post campaign analysis through a serious of media. While the majority of campaigns will be via Telemarketing; email, mail, web and DRTV channels will also be required from time to time

  • Management of campaigns budget including cost management and monitoring the achievement of return on investment targets

  • Management of internal and external service providers including creative agencies, media buyers, telemarketing agencies and printers

  • Proactively monitor the external fundraising environment to seek out, develop and successfully implement innovative ideas that contribute to the achievement of the fundraising targets

  • To work with the Telemarketing Manager and Marketing team to implement the Emergency Fundraising Strategy

  • To ensure that all activity complies with Concern’s policies and procedures and all legislation governing charity activity

  • Work closely with Corporate, Major Donors, Donor Care, , Web Team, Active Citizenship, the Fundraising Systems Team and other units to ensure integrated working and consistent messaging

  • Undertake project work as may be required from time to time

Skills and Experience Required: 

Essential:

  • At least two years experience in a direct marketing environment

  • Experience in a Telemarketing Environment

  • Third-level qualification in marketing or equivalent work experience

  • Demonstrable strong project management skills

  • Strong analytical skills with experience of monitoring financial budgets

  • Excellent script writing and or copy writing skills

  • Results oriented attitude

  • Excellent multitasking skills

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative

  • Excellent problem solving attitude

Desirable:

  • Experience of working with different fundraising channels/teams

  • Experience of using a fundraising database
