St. Francis Hospice Dublin provides a comprehensive range of palliative care services for patients and their families living in North Dublin City and County. Established in 1989, we are one of the largest hospices in Ireland.
This high quality, person-centred loving care is provided both on-site in one of our truly special facilities (Raheny and Blanchardstown) as well as in the local community. Each year the Hospice provides specialist care to over 600 individuals as in-patients with a further 1,360 looked after by our Homecare teams.
There are approximately 270 staff and over 300 volunteers who deliver this excellent service for patients and their families. In 2018, we provided care to almost 1,713 patients.
Our Hospice continues to be wonderfully supported by the public and organisations through donations, fundraising events and bequests.

Senior Manager – Partnerships and Philanthropy
(Raheny / Blanchardstown)
Permanent, 37 hours per week
St. Francis Hospice Dublin (SFHD’s) Senior Manager - Partnerships and Philanthropy is a key position within the fundraising team.
The roles main responsibility is to help to deliver increased funds from major donors, corporate supporters and trusts & foundations, whilst also managing SFHD significant income source of legacies.
With this being a new role, it offers the chosen candidate great scope to shape and influence the broad fundraising future and scale within SFHD. This is an exciting time for the Hospice, as we celebrate our 30th anniversary and plan for the upgrade of our Raheny facility.
We are seeking a candidate with the leadership, ambition, motivation and requisite skills to drive the strategies in this area covering major gift, corporate, trusts and foundations and legacy. This is a demanding role that requires high levels of dynamism, energy and innovation.
• Minimum of a third level degree qualification.
• A minimum of 5 years proven and relevant experience at senior level with a demonstrable track record of delivering upon strategic objectives and maximising income / ROI.
• Extensive knowledge of programme development and grant making bodies.
• Proven experience in corporate fundraising.
• Confident networker with the ability to forge strong working relationships.
• Competency on all social media channels.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong Report writing & IT skills – including CRM Databases, Word, Access, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Full clean driving license.
