Campaigner - Oxfam Ireland

You’ll be informing the Irish public about the crucial work that Oxfam Ireland is carrying out, and inspiring them to carry out Petition and Campaign actions. You’ll be representing Oxfam Ireland, so it goes without saying that you will do so in a friendly, courteous and professional manner at all times.

What will you gain from this job? No two days as an Oxfam Ireland Campaigner is the same, but along the way you’ll pick up:

  • Experience chatting to every type of person possible, so you’ll have even more amazing interpersonal skills after a day or two!
  • The ability to work in any environment (rain, sun, in the middle of a music festival…)
  • The knowledge you’re making a difference, and having fun while you work because you’ll have a great group of people to work alongside!

We offer a flat Fixed Rate of Pay of €11.50 per hour, but there is Performance Related Pay in addition to this because we believe in rewarding Campaigners who meet and exceed expectations.

We provide ongoing training sessions to ensure you reach your full superstar potential, and there’s lots of opportunities for career progression within the organisation and across the sector.

We’re looking for people who have…

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and very strong spoken English – you’ll be spending your day having conversations!
  • A passion for Oxfam Ireland’s work, and a broad knowledge of emergency/developmental aid issues would make you stand out from the crowd.
  • An outgoing personality, enjoy interacting with members of the public and working outdoors within a team dynamic.
  • Flexible and be able to represent Oxfam Ireland at various festivals and events throughout the country.
