Building Trust in the New Era: Exploring the Ethics of AI-Powered Donor Engagement

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought significant changes to the way not-for-profit organisations operate, communicate, and engage with their donors. With more reliance on digital channels, the use of artificial intelligence and data analytics, and the rise of virtual events, ethical considerations, and trust have become critical issues for charities seeking to engage with donors and other stakeholders. This panel will explore the ethical implications of these changes and how organisations can build trust with donors in a post-pandemic world.

• The benefits and challenges of using AI in nonprofit fundraising:
  • The panelists will discuss the advantages of using AI for donor engagement, such as more personalized communication and greater insights into donor behavior. They will also explore the challenges and ethical considerations that arise when using this technology.

  • The panelists will share their insights on how nonprofits can build trust with donors when using AI, including strategies for being transparent about the use of this technology, communicating effectively with donors, and ensuring that the use of AI aligns with the organization's values and mission.
