The Role

Oxfam Ireland is currently looking for a Finance Officer to join our Finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the day to day operation of the Finance team by providing support to the Finance Manager on all finance issues including the production of timely monthly and annual management accounts, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and the organisation is maximising its resources.

To be considered for the role, candidates should possess a range of skills and experience including:

  • Professionally experience or Qualified / Part qualified via exam.
  • Demonstrable professional experience within the finance discipline, to include:
  • The operation of a multi cost centred computerised accounting system
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Producing monthly management accounts
  • Using Microsoft Office in particular Microsoft Excel to manipulate data
  • Produce reports for external distribution to donors.
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service and meeting deadlines
  • Self-starter with experience of working to deadlines and demonstrable ability to use initiative, work independently, and prioritise a diverse workload effectively under pressure
