Title: Solution Delivery Manager

Reports to: Head of Technology

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)

Location: Based in Dublin, with opportunities for part-time remote working*

* Note:  There will be a mix of office and remote based working for this role over the coming months as we return to more regular working arrangements following temporary arrangements that were in place due to Covid-19 restrictions

We're looking for a Solution Delivery Manager to join our team. As Solution Delivery Manager you will be responsible for the managing the maintenance of existing solutions and development of new solutions which underpin the services of the Irish Cancer Society.

What you'll do

The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders internally and externally to ensure that the technology systems continue to provide for their operational and information needs and to develop new solutions which help to realise new organisational efficiencies.

Principally this will involve Microsoft Dynamics CRM and associated integration tools and interfaces, SQL Server databases and SSRS and PowerBI reporting tools. The Solution Delivery Manager will also oversee the delivery of external payment, marketing and web services and act as a point of contact for the organisation on technical aspects of their service delivery.

 

Key duties and responsibilities 

Relationship building and stakeholder management

  • Development of strong relationships with the key stakeholders from across the organisation and with key external providers, managing conflicting interests and expectations.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to help them maximise the use of data in the Society and gain a deep understanding across the team of how their businesses work and operate.

 

Planning and solution delivery management

  • Be service-user and client-focused, and understand the Irish Cancer Society's fundamental role, purpose, structure and strategic goals.
  • Determine the requirements of projects and initiatives and plan work in accordance with the overall organisation priority and lead the solution delivery team on all projects that have development / integration aspects as required.
  • Driving consistency and best practice in relation to data initiatives; leveraging data for use in strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Analyse and evaluate work performed by 3rd party vendors to ensure compliance of contractual agreement.
  • Advise on the technical specification relating to the development or procurement of new information systems or ICT infrastructure, assisting in the developing of Business Cases if appropriate.

 

Leadership and management

  • Lead the Solution Delivery team. Ensure they maintain their service and business focus, are organised for efficient and effective solution delivery, and continuously seek to improve processes and procedures.Build and maintain a strong functional team through effective recruiting, training, coaching, team building, and succession planning

 

Who you are

  • Demonstrable track record in managing solution deliveries from inception to completion.
  • Practical experience of the management of change, including management of competing priorities with flexibility and willingness to adapt, positively contributing to the implementation of change.
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to establish positive relationships with staff and external suppliers.

  

 

Your qualifications and experience

  • Degree level professional qualification or equivalent working knowledge/experience required.
  • Experience of business analysis and business process optimisation initiatives.
  • Presentation, communication and negotiation skills: able to communicate clearly, pleasantly, and confidently with staff and stakeholders both orally and in writing. Ability to adapt style to different audiences.
  • The ability to lead the team by example, coaching and supporting individuals as required.
  • A capacity to develop new proposals and put forward solutions to address problems in a timely manner.
  • Strong planning and organising skills including awareness of resource management, handling multiple tasks, cost management and managing deadlines.
  • Experience of working in a not-for-profit environment an advantage.
  • Technical experience of Microsoft Dynamics CRM an advantage.
