Background

The Mater Foundation (MF) works continuously to transform and improve patient care at The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital.

As the official fundraising body of the hospital, we exist to provide funding for state-of-the-art equipment, helping to provide the best care for all who need it. We enhance hospital facilities to create a comfortable and caring environment for patients and their families. We also fund pioneering research and clinical trials and we continuously invest in our healthcare workers, providing vital grants to support specialist staff.

There has never been a more exciting time to join the Mater Foundation as we have just completed a comprehensive strategic review. The organisation now has a 5-year roadmap to harness our success and implement this ambitious strategy to ensure greater impact in the hospital. Being embedded in the hospital highlights our cause, and we see first-hand the impact our work has on everyone who needs care and support.

This strategy has been fully endorsed by an extremely committed board of directors who have fully supported the need for investment to drive future growth.
