About the job:

We are seeking a creative storyteller who is technically proficient and has an eye for opportunity to work as a Marketing & Communications Executive within our Fundraising team. 

The successful candidate will support the delivery of successful fundraising appeals and campaigns, manage social media channels and ensure a cohesive and inspiring brand voice for Dublin Simon Community through all external and internal activities.

Job Requirements

  • Work with Senior Communications & Marketing Manager to develop and implement plans incorporating the Integrated Marketing Communication mix for Dublin Simon Community campaigns.
  • Supporting the fundraising team to devise and deliver advertising & marketing plans, and support PR for key fundraising events and campaigns, both national and regional, e.g. Develop and deliver a schedule of external communication for email sign ups, with a target of donor acquisition
  • Manage website content and activity and support relationships with third party vendors to support donation portals and CRM connectivity.
  • Management of social media channels and calendars and preparation of high quality video and visual content.
  • Increase traffic to the website through SEO, PPC strategies, social media channels and online advertising (as required), inform and direct campaigns, in order to reach acquisition targets. 
  • Support the delivery of high quality reporting on performance across all marketing & media channels.
  • Oversee email campaigns and work with managers to support best practice in delivery of email communications to target audiences.
  • Assess new channels and opportunities to bring the voice of Dublin Simon to an even wider audience.
  • Brand management activity supporting the strategic plans to optimise brand awareness and trust scores
  • Create briefs and liaise with designers, media buyers, photographers and other vendors to ensure quality and accuracy of all design, content and results across online and traditional channels.
  • Ensure content is created and purposed to reflect the activity of services, support fundraising initiatives and attain defined KPIs. 
  • Support the delivery of a schedule of internal communications to increase engagement and information flow across the organisation.


Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 2-4 yrs experience in a Marketing or digital marketing role.
  • Degree in marketing, digital marketing or communications or equivalent professional qualification
  • Experience with website management and search engine optimisation.
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems and digital tools e.g. Wordpress Ads, Analytics
  • Familiar with use of mass-email marketing applications.
  • Proven ability to represent a brand effectively on social networks with suitable copywriting and graphic production skills.
  • Experience briefing and working with agencies – advertising, digital and media.
  • Proven marketing project management delivery.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a proven ability to manage and report trends in media and digital data
  • Experience of or training in the use of digital tools such as Photoshop, Premier Pro, Illustrator and other relevant tools is a distinct advantage
  • Experience in media liaison and public relations, writing copy for online channels, press releases and feature articles would be an advantage
  • Event management experience a distinct advantage
  • Experience of cause marketing a distinct advantage
