Certificate in Best Practice
This online course is a test of knowledge in best practice standards for fundraising, financial reporting and governance. This course has been specifically designed for setting the basic standards required for everyone working in the not for profit sector.
The Certificate of Best Practice is also the first of the seven core units in the Certificate in Fundraising and will need to be completed and passed with a Merit or above grade to progress the student on the remaining six course units.
Free access the course can be made directly through your organisation's membership subscription or you can apply for Academy Associate Membership if you are a professional working in the charity sector or work for a charity that is not in a position to take on organisational membership.
Certificate in Fundraising
Cognisant of the changes in public perception of fundraising and the real need for adopting new thinking, new ideas and new initiatives, this EFA certified course will support and develop participants understanding of best practice in fundraising. The modular format course provides members with maximum flexibility to attend over the course of the year.
Each course unit is now being delivered twice per year as full day seminars. There are seven core units that are required to be completed, including the above Certificate of Best Practice.

This series of courses are full day seminars that can be taken as a single module or built up to complete the Certificate in Fundraising.
Each course is a full day workshop culminating with a live exam at the end of the session. Once you complete and pass the exam you will be issued with a certificate of completion with your result.

Getting to Grips with SORP
This one-day seminar aims to provide participants with all the information they need to understand the requirements of and how to comply with the charity Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP).
The day will include comprehensive information on the requirements of the FRS102 SORP, an update on current issues in the development of the SORP for charities and includes practical exercises on the key stages in drafting a set of SORP accounts. The day will include an opportunity for questions as well as case studies and practical exercises.
